EXPERIENCE:
My entire career has been involved in the real estate field. I began in the mortgage department of a savings & loan in 1984. While there I was a credit analyst and later became a trainer for the mortgage department.
In 1989 while raising my two daughters I became a Real Estate & Litigation Paralegal for a busy real estate law practice in Hendersonville, North Carolina. I searched titles and conducted the closings on a daily basis. I have closed thousands of loans!
With an extensive background in the real estate field from my experience in both mortgage banking and over 10 years as a paralegal I opened Laurelwood Mortgage Services & Vanessa Mintz & Associates Realty in 1998. I sold the mortgage company in 2001 and have continued in real estate sales.
Since 2001 I have also purchased, renovated and sold a country inn in Hendersonville and I am currently involved in the renovation and reopening of a motor lodge in Saluda, North Carolina.
I have an excellent knowledge of western North Carolina mountains and can provide my clients not only information on the homes, lands and commercial properties for sale in the area but have partnered with settlement service providers that will offer to my clients efficient service at excellent fees.

I love being with people and I love real estate. It is my family heritage. I am the third generation of the Mintz family involved in real estate. Home ownership is one of the most exciting events in the history of a family and I enjoy being a part of that history. I truly feel good about myself when I have made the difference between finding a home rather than just buying a house.
PERSONAL/FAMILY/CHURCH, CIVIC, COMMUNITY INTERESTS
I have a large and wonderful group of family and friends. Many of whom I have met through my businesses and in real estate, and all of whom I truly appreciate it.
I am very active in my community. I attend First Baptist Church. I am on the Board of Directors for the Greater Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce and Henderson County Dispute Settlement Center. I am also active on committees for the Henderson County Commissioners. I am an active member of the local Elks Lodge and Rotary, both organizations focus on raising money for needy families.
I have two grown daughters, Jessica & Andrea.
Jessica attends Mars Hill College pursuing her Bachelors in Elementary Education. She also is a Teachers Assistant in Kindergarten at Glenn Marlow Elementary School in Mills River.
Andrea is a Registered Nurse. She cares for end of life patients at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, North Carolina. The Elizabeth House is the in patient facility for Four Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care in Hendersonville.
My parents are Carl & Sylvia Mintz of Saluda, North Carolina. I am the ninth generation of the Mintz family in Hendersonville.
UNIQUE BUT LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT ME:
I dream of having a small drive camper and traveling all over North America as a photojournalist with my King Charles Spaniel, Clover.
I also dream taking an equestrian tour of Ireland & Scotland photographing the countryside.
